It’s here guys! It’s finally Christmas! Does anyone remember last year, when we weren’t having to wear masks, didn’t have to social distance, and could go basically wherever we wanted whenever? Yeah, simpler times.

I know that a lot of people aren’t going to be able to see their family this year. It’s really hard, isn’t it? Normally I would be seeing all my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents somewhere in the week around Christmas. This year I am seeing a few cousins, one set of grandparents, and a few aunts and uncles- while not doing almost any hugging, and being careful- especially with the younger cousins. It’s definitely not what I imagined this year being like.

But it’s okay. I know that God is still in control, and I can find peace in that. And I hope you can too. God is still good. He is still there.

“I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” sung by Casting Crowns

I was listening to Christmas music the other day and the song “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day” by Casting Crowns came on. And wow- I loved that song before, but I don’t think it has ever applied more! I would definitely encourage you to listen to the song, because it is not only a beautiful song, but also has a great message for these times. “God is not dead, nor does He sleep”. I have never heard more true words- and especially in times like these where it seems like all is dark, this is important. Our God is not dead. Our God does not sleep. He is alive and awake- and He is watching over us. Even when it feels like He is silent, He is there. He is looking out for us. He is shaping us into the people that He wants us to be.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas wherever they are! Hope this is a good reminder to you!!
