Water Under the Bridge

One of the biggest things I struggle with is holding a grudge. I have a hard time just letting things go- it goes against everything in my head telling me to hold on and dig in my feet.

But as Christians, we are called to forgive others as Christ forgave us. It’s not easy, but once it is done, you feel so much better. You shouldn’t necessarily do it just because it makes you feel better- but it can be a good motivation.

An important step after forgiveness is “forgetting”. Now, forgetting doesn’t necessarily mean that you just pretend someone didn’t hurt you. That’s how you get hurt again. BUT you shouldn’t hold it against them after you’ve already forgiven them. You don’t still have to be friends with them, or associate with them, but you shouldn’t hold a grudge.

God will forgive you no matter what- even if you don’t forgive those who wrong you. But that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t forgive people.

Sorry guys, it was a kinda scatterbrained post today, I’ve got a lot going on right now. I hope this was a good reminder for you!!
