My Summer

Well, spring semester kinda fell apart in the posting department haha… I was not quite as on top of it as I wanted to be. But I am planning on this summer being a lot different. If I can pull it off, there will be a post out every week this summer. However, all of those posts will have to be scheduled ahead because I will be gone all summer! I am working at a Christian summer camp this summer and I will leave at the end of May. By the time that you are reading this, I will already be gone!

This means that I won’t have the time- or energy, let’s be honest- to be posting on the blog. But I still have sooo much to say and spring semester has been so full of ups and downs that I want to tell you guys all about. So I am going to try and fit that all into the next two weeks and schedule posts out for the next three months!! Wish me luck 🙂

I am so incredibly excited for this summer- and so incredibly nervous. I’ve been blessed with the amazing opportunity to go serve God all summer by working with kids- and I get to do it with some of my best friends. An entire summer dedicated to Christ and furthering His kingdom. I’ll be working closely with a lot of kids- which is what I want to do as a career- and helping to teach them about God.

But it is not going to be all sunshine and rainbows by any means. It will be exhausting. It will be emotionally and spiritually taxing. It will be sacrificing a lot.

But it will also be a learning opportunity. It will be an experience that will lead to a lot of growth. It will be a great opportunity for spiritual growth and going deeper into my relationship with Christ.

So what can you do?

You can pray. Really, really hard. Because I know that I’m going to need it. Pray that God will give us the energy and strength to start every week with renewed vigor to give every single camper the same amazing experience to grow closer to God. Pray that Satan will not be able to get his grip on any of the staff or campers- because he will certainly try. We will be shining Christ’s light and Satan is going to do anything he can to stop that. So pray that we will be able to resist temptation and the Devil’s lies. Pray that this will be a spiritually rewarding experience. Pray that all of the staff will have patience to persevere through the tiring times. Pray that everyone will stay safe and healthy all summer. And finally, pray that lives will be changed. I would really appreciate it- and I know that everyone else on staff will too.

I hope that you all have a wonderful summer, and if any of you have prayer requests that you would like me to be praying about this summer, please feel free to message me on Instagram @rcalife. I would love to hear from any of you 🙂

Well, that is the end of today’s post- be on the lookout for more each week because I won’t be able to post Instagram updates. You can also subscribe to receive email updates directly from me so feel free to do that if you haven’t already!! Have a great summer and I’ll check back in with you all in present time in the fall 🙂
